The Central Ohio Symphony
The Central Ohio Symphony is Delaware's professional symphony orchestra. The Symphony's annual Independence Day concert is attended by thousands of people each year, and its holiday concerts also draw large audiences. Through partnerships with the local school districts, nearly 1,000 fourth graders attend the orchestra's special educational programming each spring. Over the past 46 years, the Central Ohio Symphony has established itself as a national leader in promoting the continuing evolution of orchestral music, and it regularly features emerging artists and new music as part of its concert programming. The Symphony presents a regular concert series at Ohio Wesleyan University and additional performances throughout Delaware, Marion, and Union counties.
