The Central Ohio Symphony

The Central Ohio Symphony is Delaware County's professional symphony orchestra. The Symphony's annual Independence Day concert is attended by thousands of people each year, and its holiday concerts also draw large audiences. Through partnerships with the local school districts, nearly 1,000 fourth graders attend the orchestra's special educational programming each spring. Over the past 48 years, the Central Ohio Symphony has established itself as a national leader in promoting the continuing evolution of orchestral music, and it regularly features emerging artists and new music as part of its concert programming. The Symphony presents a subscription concert series at Ohio Wesleyan University and additional performances throughout Delaware, Marion, and Union counties.

The Central Ohio Symphony is a proud member of the Arts Alliance of Delaware County. The Arts Alliance brings together not-for-profit arts organizations from throughout the county, providing mutual support for our unique missions and enabling creative experiences for residents and visitors. The Central Ohio Symphony is supported in part through a Sustainability Grant from the Ohio Arts Council, a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally, and economically.
