In his blue gardens men and girls came and went like moths among the whisperings and the champagne and the stars.
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

In the spirit of the Roaring Twenties, the Friends of the Symphony are hosting a gala!
In The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald describes lavish parties hosted by the notorious bootlegger and socialite Jay Gatsby. To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the publication of this novel, the Central Ohio Symphony is recreating the experience! Dress in your finest 1920s "bib and tucker" for this elegant evening of dinner, drinks, and dancing.
Enjoy an upscale dinner, open bar, and live music as well as conversation with some of the biggest personalities of the 1920s. A short program will include a bucket auction offering exclusive items and experiences unavailable elsewhere. Professional dancers will then demonstrate the Charleston and other popular dances from the 1920s and offer instruction to those interested in learning the steps. The dance floor will be open for the rest of the night!
